PURPOSE:To prevent a ribbon form winding and eliminate a high edge winding, by traversing turning points of thread in different positions and making different creeping each other, when tread is wound on a bobbin, in verious fiber machines. CONSTITUTION:By traversing thread through a drum with guide grooves having go-and-return routes A1 and A2, turning points of thread on both ends are varied each other in the drum axis direction, as well as giving different creepings to outside and inside turning points of thread. The creeping is performed by cam-controlling the traverse guide, which guides the thread through the guide grooves A, and moreover, a measure is furnished to stop temporarily the creeping by cutting the like of the cam and the traverse guide, at one side of the turning points. Therefore, turning points of thread draw different creeping traces different each other, and the total of the both mechanisms makes a form of both ends of the wound package.
