A herbicidal compsn. includes 5-95 wt.% of a 3-acylamino-furazane cpd. of the general formula (I) and one or more adjuvants including diluents, wetting agents, dispersants and solvents, where R = 1-6C alkyl; or phenyl opt. substd. by one or more substituents selected from halogen, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, 1-4C haloalkyl and nitro; R1 = 1-12C alkyl, 1-12C haloalkyl, 3-8C cycloalkyl, (1-5C alkoxy)-methyl, phenoxymethyl opt. ring-substd. by halogen, 1-4C alkyl or 1-4C haloalkyl, phenyl or benzyl opt. ring-substd. by halo, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C haloalkyl, 1-4C alkoxy or nitro; or -R'-NR''R''' in which R' is 1-2C alkylene and R'' and R''' are each 1-5C alkyl or -NR''R''' is a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic ring opt. contg. another hetero atom selected from O, N and S.
