PURPOSE:To manufacture a high strength unrefined cast steel without deteriorat ing weldability and toughness peculiar to an alloy cast steel having a specified composition contg. C, Mn, Si, Cr and V by normalizing the alloy cast steel at a proper temp. and cooling it at a proper cooling rate. CONSTITUTION:An alloy cast steel contg. 0.25-0.35% C, 1.60-2.00% Mn, 0.30-0.80% Si, <=0.80% Cr and 0.15-0.25% V and having 0.59-0.75 CE value represented by an equation CE=C+Mn/6+(Cr+Mo+V)/5+(Ni+Cu)/15 is normalized at 870-1,100 deg.C and cooled at 25-100 deg.C/min cooling rate to obtain a high strength unrefined cast steel having >= about 90kgf/mm<2> tensile strength and suitable for use as a material for a shoe for a vehicle fit for damp ground.
