PURPOSE:To improve the reliability by specifying the terminal height of a reinforcing layer, and providing a specific covering layer and strip rubber at the carcass folding end in the bead portion of a tire, as stated in the title, having a metal cord carcass. CONSTITUTION:The height h2 from the bead base of a metal cord reinforcing layer terminal 4a is set lower than the height h1 of the folding terminal 2a of a carcass ply 2. A carcass ply folding terminal 2a is covered with a covering layer EC consisting of a fiber cord in which rubber having the modulus of 20-70kg/cm<2> in the extension of 100% is drawn with the rubber thickness which is 0.3-2 times the diameter of a metal cord, and an annular strip rubber which has the modulus of 20-70kg/cm<2> in the extension of 100% and has the gauge of the metal cord diameter DX1-5 in the rubber thickness d in a sectional direction is interposed between the covering layer EC, a metal reinforcing layer 4 and a fiber cord reinforcing layer 6. |
