摘要 PURPOSE:To uniform a temperature distribution of the inside of an acoustooptical medium in the ultrasonic wave advance direction, and to suppress the distortion of an emitted light wave surface by joining a heat sensitive conductor or a Peltier element to one of end faces parallel to the ultrasonic wave advance direction. CONSTITUTION:A transducer 2 for generating an ultrasonic wave, and a sound absorbing body 3 by Pb, etc. are joined to an acoustooptical medium 1, and the end face opposed to said transducer, respectively, and also the sound absorbing body 3 is joined to a heat radiating body 4 such as Cu, Al, etc. having a good heat conductivity. On the other hand, heat radiating bodies 5a, 5b of Cu, Al, etc. are joined to the end face, too, parallel to the ultrasonic wave advance direction. A temperature in the acoustooptical medium 1 becomes high in the vicinity of the transducer 2 and its opposed end face, the ultrasonic wave is not reflected by the opposed surface of the transducer, and also heat which has been generated in the sound absorbing body is diffused through the heat radiating body 4. Moreover, heat is diffused by the heat radiating bodies which have been joined to the end face parallel to the ultrasonic wave advance direction, and as a result, in the acoustooptical medium, a temperature distribution in the ultrasonic wave advance direction becomes uniform, therefore, the distortion of the emitted light wave surface can be suppressed.
