PURPOSE:To obtain an Fe-Co-Mn-C alloy for a magnetic material with superior corrosion resistance, by preparing an alloy contg. specified percentages of Fe, Co, Mn, C, V and Cr. CONSTITUTION:An alloy consisting of, by weight, 30-55% Co, 15-27% Mn, 0.3-1.8% C, <=2.6% V, 2-15% Cr and the balance Fe is prepared. This alloy is easily cold worked to a high degree, and it is provided with satisfactory magnetic characteristics by simple heat treatment. The desired part of the alloy can be made nonmagnetic, and the alloy has superior corrosion resistance. |
