<p>PURPOSE:To cut automatically defectivly copies paper so that such paper can be housed into a separate place when a paper jam arises by providing a cutting means for cutting the conveyed paper to a copying machine having a long paper conveying path. CONSTITUTION:A control system is constituted with a CPU40 as the central part thereof. The control system outputs driving control signals on the output side thereof to a conveyor 46 for various kinds of paper as well as a solenoid 29 and a cutter 17 provided in the paper conveying path. The input information for the purpose of handling the paper jam includes the signals from a transmission type photosensor 34 for detecting the paper jam, a transmission type photosensor 33 for detecting the passage of the paper and further a start button 45. A change-over gate 15 is normally opened on the discharge side, through which the paper is discharged to a discharge tray 16. The cutting side of the gate is opened when the paper jam arises. The paper in the mid-way of the conveyance is then passed through the lower conveying path and is cut by the cutter 17. The cut paper is housed into a cut paper housing box 18.</p> |
