In the disc rotor for an electric machine with axial air gap provided with an armature winding (10) comprised of insulated wire, the element sides (15, 16) and the outer element heads (17) are arranged in only two superposed winding layers (19, 20) in order to achieve the simplified automatic production for a high thermal capacity, the element sides (15, 16) being radially orientated. The wire is guided in the winding course from the winding start (1) to the winding end (2) so that it runs exclusively in the positioning field of the wire from the lower layer (19) to the upper layer (20) and so that the passage from one layer to the other is in the area of the outer element heads (17).
