PURPOSE:A high-specific gravity thermoplastic resin composition reduced in worsening in the appearance of a molding and minimized in the decrease in mechanical properties, comprising a polystyrene resin composition, glass fiber or potassium titanate fiber and specified particulate or foiled filler. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic resin composition comprising 50-90wt% polystyrene resin composition (A), 5-25wt% at least one member selected from among glass fiber and potassium titanate fiber (B) each of which has a ratio of an average length to an average diameter >=6, and 10-35wt% at least one particulate or foiled filler (C) selected from among copper, manganese, zinc, tin, their oxides, lead oxide, iron brass, stainless and brass each of which has a particle diameter of 150mu, wherein the total of (A)-(C) is 100wt%. As the glass fiber, one formed by collecting monofilaments can be used. This monofilament has a diameter of, usually, 5-30mu and a ratio of an average length to a diameter >=6, preferably, >=15 (it is desirable that this ratio is of the greatest possible value).
