PURPOSE:To continuously treat a large amount of used cutting oil while high filtering capacity is always held, by performing the filtering of used cutting oil on the peripheral part of a drum wherein a large number of wedge wires are parallelly arranged. CONSTITUTION:Used cutting oil is thrown in a tank 1 and the filtering of used cutting oil is subsequently performed on the peripheral part of a filter drum 2, wherein wedge wires 10 are parallelly arranged, while said drum 2 is continuously rotated. At the same time, the recovered cutting oil filtrate is introduced into the fixed shaft tube 3 under pressure from the outside of the tank 1 and injected toward the upper side inner peripheral surface of the filter drum 2 from the nozzles 20 of a jet pipe 19 to wash the filter drum 2. Further, a scraping chain 27 is continuously or intermittently run and the sludge such as cutting trash sedimented to the bottom part of the tank 1 is scraped out to the outside of the tank 1 by scraping plates 25.
