PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head which is free from disturbance noises and has a short distance between a magnetic element and an amplifier circuit element with high performance and low cost, by forming the magnetic element and input and output amplifier circuit elements on a single semiconductor substrate. CONSTITUTION:When an element is divided by a dicer, a slicing machine, etc., the magnetic element coupling terminals 15 and signal input terminals 16 of amplifier circuit elements 12 are formed on the divided faces of the element. Then the element divided faces are polished up to mirror surfaces, and magnetic elements 17 and input/output coils 18 are formed on the face where terminals 15 are exposed by a thin film forming process. Thus a magnetic head 19 is obtained. This head 19 contains the elements 17 and input and output elements 12 formed on a semiconductor substrate 11. This constitution omits flexible wires, connectors, etc. and furthermore shortens the distance between the element 17 and the element 12. Thus the disturbance noises can be eliminated. |
