PURPOSE:To enable easy insertion of an electrode plates group into an outer packaging metallic can and at the same time to minimize the fluctuation of cell performance by making the adhering portion area of an adhesive tape cover a definite percentage of a negative plate area at the outermost periphery of the electrode plates group at the time of fixing the electrode plates group. CONSTITUTION:In the case of fixing an electrode plates group composed of a nickel positive electrode plate 1 and a cadmium negative plate 2, between which a separator is interposed, spirally wound together by winding itself with an alkali-resistant adhesive tape 4 such as polypropylene or the like, the adhering portion area of the adhesive tape 4 is made 25-60% of the negative plate at the outermost periphery of the electrode plates group. Thereby, the occurrence of unfittness can be avoided at the time of inserting the electrode plates group into an outer packaging can in cell mounting process. Also, the fluctuation of performance such as cell internal resistance, cell internal pressure in charging time, and so on can be reduced. |
