PURPOSE:To eliminate the rotation of a work in the stage of trimming and to work the work with surface directivity in a device for grasping the work by means of upper and lower dies moving relatively vertically in the axial direction by constituting specifically a guide of the lower die. CONSTITUTION:The guide 6 of the lower die 11 is constituted to move vertically in the axial direction and is so constituted that the guide 6 rises to fit to the bottom surface side of the work 1 and supports the same while the work 1 is fixed by a supporting jig 2. The upper die 17 descends to expand forcibly the jig 2 after the supporting by the guide 6. Then a pilot pin 12 and a knock- out 14 contact with the work 1 so that the work 1 is grasped by means of the knock-out 14 and the guide 6. The rotation of the work 1 is thus prevented and the easy and sure trimming of the work 1 is made possible.
