PURPOSE:To form a uniform uneven pattern by holding many roller elements of narrow breadth having the perforated holes by means of the rods, covering the cylindrical elastic bodies having the pattern-like uneven surfaces on the outside peripheries thereof and pressing these on a base material. CONSTITUTION:Many roller elements 3 of narrow breadth are parallel arranged and the through-holes 4 are perforated in the centers along the symmetrical axes thereof and the rods 7 are perforated therethrough and the elastic bodies 11 having the optional pattern-like uneven surfaces are wound on all the outside peripheral surfaces of roller elements 3. The uneven patterns corresponding to the patterns of elastic bodies 11 are formed on the top area of the nondried material A to be coated by the weight of roller elements 3. By this method, uniform, uneven patterns are formed on the whole surfaces of coated film in spite of the deformation of the surface of base material to be coated.
