PURPOSE:To improve the operability of item input by providing a retrieval means retrieving input items already inputted in a document transmitted to each work station tied to a file server. CONSTITUTION:A memory in the file server 5 is provided with a display set area 6 in which display form data 7, 7... of plural number setting display form of transmission information transmitted from work stations 1, 1- are set. Further, a data storage area 8 storing input data 9, 9... transmitted from the work stations 1, 1... is provided. thus, when the input item in which information is already inputted is designated, the file server 5 inhibits the selection of the input item to select the next input item.
