After scalding, the slaughtered body is rotated around its longitudinal axis and simultaneously roughly unhaired by means of hitting and scraping tools. Then, while the body is still being rotated and worked upon by the scraping means, it is finely unhaired by means of a burner. This invention is characterised in that the fine unhairing on the whole body length is performed by means of burners having different burning durations and/or intensities according to the different body parts, by using on one hand pivotable burners (15, 16, 21) or burners movable rearwards from the front (11) and, on the other hand, fixed burners (27, 28, 34, 35, 36) of which the flame intensity or the burning duration may be different for each burner. |
