The invention relates to an arrangement for mixing together in a contact reactor a flue gas flow (A) with an absorption medium (B) for absorption of and reaction with contaminants present in the flue gas, with the aid of one or more vortices (21a, 21b), the flue gas is conducted through a channel (2c), and the absorption medium is introduced into the flow of flue gas at a location in or adjacent the channel. Located in the channel (20) or in the immediate vicinity thereof is one or more vortex-generating elements (21, 22, 23, 24) having a configuration such as to generate at least two mutually counter-rotating and mutually adjacent vortices (21a, 21b) oriented in the flow of flue gas. |
