The invention relates to a trench-sheeting machine which is combined with a trenching machine and to the method of producing trench sheeting with this machine. An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and is described in greater detail below: the trench-sheeting machine consists of a trenching-machine boom, which is held by the carrier machine or its boom by a mounting frame and around which the chain with trenching tools runs, and of an insertion box for trench sheetpiles or panels which is attached to the trenching-machine boom with a holder or directly to the mounting frame above the trench to be made. Guide rails connected laterally at the front are located at the bottom on the insertion box at a distance of about the width of the trench. In unstable soil, the insertion box is replaced by a telescoping guide box to which a vibrator is attached in order to more effectively overcome the frictional resistance.
