<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of erroneous and poor grip of a sheet material, by a method wherein an uniform and continuous fluctuation in the response lag of a resist mechanism is corrected to minimize unevenness in the feed position of the sheet material. CONSTITUTION:A sheet material 8 is fed in a direction D, and is guided to a nip formed by resist rollers 12 and 13. The rollers 12 and 13 are rotated by means of a variable driving means 18. The sheet material 8 is brought to a stop right before a grip position once, and is waited till a grip point of time. The waiting position is detected by photosensor 17a and 17b. For a following grip sequence, a time between the feed of the sheet material 8 and a stop once made is corrected to a proper value at each grip sequence. This, even if an uniform and continuous change in the response of the resist mechanism part is produced due to a change in motion environment, enables the stop position of the sheet material to be adjusted within a given range. This ensures a grip of the sheet material during high speed feed by control at a following stage.</p> |
