ADAPTOR EXTENSION MECHANISM FOR A LASER SCALPEL

An adaptor extension mechanism for a laser-powered scalpel, in which an adaptor end portion (6) is slidable longitudinally of the main body (2) of the adaptor, comprises an internally-threaded sleeve (12) which is mounted rotatably around the main body. The adaptor end portion includes a threaded portion (24, 26) which engages with the thread (10) of the sleeve and is positioned between the main body and the sleeve. Sliding of the adaptor end portion is easily and quickly effected by rotation of the sleeve.
