PURPOSE:To prevent catalytic action in lubricating oil system and suppress deterioration of oil, by forming a passage wall of the lubricating oil system and at least a surface except a sliding surface of the surfaces of a member, brought into contact with the lubricating oil, by a non-metallic material of resin system or ceramic system. CONSTITUTION:An oil pump 2 sucks lubricating oil from an oil pan 1 through a strainer 5, and the lubricating oil, after it is forced to be fed to a main gallery 6 via a filter 4, lubricates each part of a crankshaft, piston 7 and a cylinder. While the lubricating oil, fed into a cylinder head, is returned to the oil pan 1 via an oil return hole and a return passage 14 after lubricating the bearing part of a cam shaft 11 and the peripheral part of a rocker shaft 12. Here a lubricating oil passage in each part, containing the main gallery 6, supply passage 9 and the return passage 14, and a wall surface of each member, brought into contact with lubricating oil vapor, are formed by a non-metallic material 20 of resin system or ceramic system. |
