PURPOSE:To improve the mass-productivity and uniformity by applying pring of glass plate, drying and grading to an array where plural constituting membes of flat packages are formed side by side. CONSTITUTION:Glass paste is applied to a peripheral of each bottom plate 2 of a bottom plate array 20, each face of a frame array 30 and a peripheral of each cap 7 of a cap array 70 respectively at first, the paste is dries and grading is applied to form glass members 4, 8 and 12. Then the bottom plate array 20, the frame array 30 and the cap array 70 are cut off from graved lines 22, 32, 33 and 72. Then a lead is clipped between the bottom plate 2 and the frame 3 and the package is sealed by pressing and heating to obtain a flat package. Finally a cap 7 is sealded to the flat package main body.
