PURPOSE:To attain prevention of malfunction of a VTR by recording a pulse obtained through the integration of the portion reaching the peak of a leading edge of a CTL pulse and the portion reaching a low level of the trailing edge onto a magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The portion of the leading edge of the CTL pulse reaching its peak is integrated substantially to delete a hatched rectangular portion (a) and the portion of the trailing edge reaching the low level is integrated substantially and a hatched rectangular portion (b) is added to modify the waveform, which is recorded. In reproducing a tape transferred from a mother tape on which the modified CTL pulse is recorded, a differentiation waveform is obtained. A portion corresponding to noises N2', N4' is reduced by the rectangular portions (a, b) and since the N2', N4' are major causes to mis-trigger among N1, N2', N3, N4', sufficient effect on practical application is attained by compensating said portions. |
