Known pulp level controls in flotation cells for froth flotation of fine-grain substances, in particular coal, are carried out with great instrumental complexity and high costs, where variations in pulp feed must have equally large variations in pulp withdrawal or froth withdrawal as a consequence in order to prevent overflow of the pulp into the froth outlet. According to the invention, maintaining a predetermined pulp level in a flotation cell is simplified and improved in terms of engineering by withdrawing the floated pulp, depending on the pulp feed rate into the flotation cell, in part beneath the foam discharge and in part at the bottom out of the flotation cell by separate outlet pipes for the floated pulp.
|
