PURPOSE:To reliably guide a sheet which has plural folds or is soft to an impeller by providing guides on the side of the impeller, which is adapted to turn the direction of a sheet rushing into blades of the impeller along the blade surface. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of impellers 21 are rotatably disposed side by side in a storing portion 20 for sheets, for example, bills B. The impellers 21 are rotated by a driving shaft 22, and the bills B are inserted and retained between plural blades 23 arranged in the peripheral direction. In this arrangement, guides 33 for turning the direction of the bill B rushing in the blade surface 23 along the blade surface 23 are disposed between the sides of the impellers 21 and the sides of transport rollers 24A, 24B and guide rollers 25A, 25B, 26A, 26B. Thus, a bill B having plural folds or a soft bill B is smoothly turned and guided without causing folds or buckling at the leading end portion of the bill to be guided between the blades 23. |
