PURPOSE:To obtain proper copy density automatically by providing an automatic exposure selecting means corresponding to the kind of an original and a copy condition setting means which sets the quantity of exposure or a developing bias on the basis of the specific quantity of exposure or developing bias conversion characteristics which are set previously and detected original density. CONSTITUTION:Data corresponding to developing bias-original density characteristics, data corresponding to developing bias-original density characteristics, etc., are written on the RAM of a microcomputer 6, and the copy condition setting means consists of a readout part which reads the data selectively on the basis of the signal of an automatic exposure selection key 53 an applied voltage control circuit 7. Consequently, an original D is set on an original platen 1, an automatic exposure key 53 is operated, and a print key 51 is operated to expose the original D by moving forth and back the optical part 2 composed of a light source 21 and reflecting mirrors 22, 23, and 24, thereby detecting the density of the original D by a density sensor 27. |
