PURPOSE:To attain simultaneous address conversion of plural pages continuing even across the boundary between partial spaces with a small quantity of hardware, by selecting the page which receives the address conversion according to the page access direction and the head page. CONSTITUTION:A logical page number shown by a partial space number S, the 1st page number M and the 2nd page number N is address-converted into a real page number RP. Then a direct access is possible to a main memory with the number RP and an intra-page address A (equal to a logical address). In such an address conversion, the data can be handled as if eight partial spaces containing 128 pages each were available in terms of a program as long as the <=32 pages needed at a time are loaded previously to the main memory despite the capacity of the main memory is equal to 32 pages.
