The invention concerns a static device making it possible to exclude or to let through solar radiation and heat according to the season. It consists of an assembly of plates 1, which are planar or slightly concave, have a very reflecting surface, and are held by a suspension 3 between two terminal rods 6 and 8, which are placed behind a transparent wall 2. The particular geometry of the system (slope of the plates close to 30 DEG , spacing close to double the width of the plates, reflecting surface facing upwards and outwards) makes it possible to let through the sun's rays during winter when they are low on the horizon and to exclude the sun's rays in summer, when they are higher on the horizon. According to one variant a mechanism 7 makes it possible to modify the slope of the plates and another mechanism 4 and 5 makes it possible to bring them together in the upper position. The device according to the invention is intended in particular for the summer protection of dwellings, of verandas and of office premises, but it can also be applied to solar collectors which are not used in summer. <IMAGE>
