PURPOSE:To provide the heat exchanger, capable of effecting effective heat exchange under minimizing the bypassing amount of primary high-temperature sodium even in case a breakage is generated in a bellows by a method wherein a gap between the outer cylinder and the outer shroud of the heat exchanger is decreased by extending a shielding plate, a bellows seal ring or the like. CONSTITUTION:The seal ring 23 or the other end of a seal bellows 16, whose one end is fixed to a bellows supporting plate 17 attached to the outer shroud 10, is contacted with a bellows receiving plate 18 attached to the inner surface of the outer cylinder 1 and suppresses bypassing flow by utilizing the elasticity of the bellows 16. Further, the shielding plate 19 for protecting a bypass seal bellows 16 from the primary high-temperature sodium is attached to the bellows supporting plate 17 so as to cove the bypass seal bellows 16, however, the shielding plate 19 is extended downward until it covers the seal ring 23. Oscillation may be suppressed by the contact between the inner surface of the shielding plate 19 and the outer surface of seal ring 23 of the bypass seal bellows 16. |
