<p>PURPOSE:To utilize the titled device as an input device of any type of display devices or a computer input device by detecting the position of a light pen through a photosensor with the light of the light pen. CONSTITUTION:The input device consists of slits 8 arranged at two corners adjacent to each other on a display screen 1a of a display device and formed on the flat plates 2 made of a material which does not transmit the light, a light pen 4 which makes optical frequencies out of the visible light radial, and a photosensor group 3 contains plural photosensors arrayed in an arc form centering on the slit 8, for reception of the beams transmitted through each slit 8. The position of the pen 4 is detected on the scope 1a with the combination of the photosensors 3 that received the light of the pen 4 of both the photosensor groups. Thus it is possible to detect the position of the pen 4 without setting a circuit into the device 1 itself nor providing a special circuit or mechanism on the screen 1a like a conventional case.</p> |
