PURPOSE:To prevent a turbine nozzle vane from cracking, by providing such an arrangement that no surface hardening treatment is applied to the turbine nozzle vane in the areas extending along its section rigidly coupled to a nozzle box, longitudinally of the nozzle vane. CONSTITUTION:A shelf 6 of a nozzle vane 3' is integrally and rigidly incorpo rated with the inner and outer rings 12, 11 of a nozzle box 2 by welding 7a. A surface hardening treatment 10 is applied to the areas which are spaced from the rigid coupled section, longitudinally of the vane 3' by a distance (l). With this arrangement, the vane may have a higher toughness in its entirety, thereby it is possible to prevent cracks from being generated. |
