摘要 <p>A soft contact lens is mfd. by cast-polymerising a compsn. consisting of 50-95wt.% of monomethacrylate of alkylene glycol, 5-25wt.% of trifluoroethyl methacrylate and/or hexafluoroisopropyl methacrylate and 40wt.% or less of one, two or three kinds selected from unsatd. carboxylic acid having one or more carboxyl gps. in a molecule, monomethacrylate and alkyl methacrylate of trivalent or higher polyhydric alcohols by continuous temp.-raising method (35-110 deg.C), processing mechanically and polishing the moulding into lens-form, and hydrating and swelling it to form stain-resisting soft contact lens. - The soft contact lens has comparable characteristics (optical properties, mechanical properties, flexibility, etc.) with those of previous soft contact lenses, but is resistant to staining by protein, lipid, etc. due to the effect of fluorine-contg. monomer added. (10pp)i USAB- US4650843 A Soft contact lens is obtd. by casting polymerisation of a compsn. comprising 50-95 wt.% of a monomethacrylate of an alkylene glycol (I), 5-35 wt.% of a F-contg. monomer (II), and 0.3-40 wt.% of (meth)acrylic acid, itaconic acid, glyceryl methacrylate, monomethacrylate of pentaerythritol and an 1-4C alkyl methacrylate. - (I) is (di)ethylene glycol, propylene glycol or tetraethylene glycol; and (II) is trifluoroethyl methacrylate, hexafluoroisopropyl methacrylate, and pentafluoro-n-(3-4C)alkyl methacrylate. - The casting polymerisation is performed by raising the temp. from 35 to 110 deg.C, either continuously or stepwise.
