PURPOSE:To obtain a yarn to be ended and having definite length, by taking off a yarn from a package, cutting the yarn end preventing the loosening of the yarn into constituent filaments, passing the yarn through an air-twisting nozzle and passing quickly through the nozzle hole having a diameter of several mm. CONSTITUTION:The package-suction mouth 1 of the ending machine is forwarded near the package 14, the yarn is sucked with the mouth 1 while rotating the package-driving roller to the reverse direction, and the yarn end wound in the package 14 is pulled out. The mouth 1 is retreated to the back of the yarn insertion guide 2, the guide 2 is lowered, and the yarn is held with the piecing roller 3 in a state pressed to the stationary edge 42. The movable edge 41 is lowered to cut the yarn with the edge 42 and the edge 41, and the cut yarn is inserted smoothly into the hole of 2-3mmphi of the air-twisting nozzle 8 while keeping the yarn end from loosening. |
