A ring, in particular a finger ring, is characterised in that it has two ring parts which can be released from one another, each of which has a ring section which extends over a partial arc, the two ring sections comprising locking members which interact in each case at one end in a complementary manner or in such a way that said locking members of both ring parts fix the ring in its fitted-together ring shape when said ring has been fitted onto a finger.
