PURPOSE:To prevent sealing oil from abruptly increasing by forming a seal ring in a Babbit casting type, and providing an oil feeding hollow pipe between a seal ring body and a Babbit, thereby preventing the ring from deforming or burning. CONSTITUTION:A seal ring 5 and a Babbit 6 are cast integrally. In this case, a hollow pipe 6 is integrally provided between a seal ring body and the Babbit 6, and an oil supply hole 8 and an oil exhaust hole 9 are formed. The ring 5 is provided in an oil pocket 4 of the seal casing 2, and sealing oil is supplied from the hole 8. Thus, the distortion of the ring is reduced to reduce a gap between a rotational shaft journal and the ring. The consumption of cooling gas is reduced to prevent the ring from burning out. |
