PURPOSE:To improve air blowing efficiency by installing a textile-made member on the entire circle of the internal surface of a housing facing rotor blade pieces of an axial fan so as to narrow the clearance between the internal surface of the housing and rotor blade pieces. CONSTITUTION:At the periphery of an axial fan 3 in a cylindrical housing 1 having open ends, a textile-made member 2 and a ring 2' are fitted with each other. Also, clearance between the tip of the rotor blade piece of the fan 3 and the fiber-tip of the textile member 2 is narrowed to virtually nil. Therefore, leakage loss at the periphery of the fan 3 can be prevented, and air blowing efficiency is improved. Since the textile member 2 is soft, rotation load hardly occurs on the fan 3.
