PURPOSE:To join two pieces of plate-shaped members simply without welding nor rivetting work by crushing the projection part formed in a body to a plate- shaped member with inserting into the through hole formed on the second member. CONSTITUTION:The necessary number of dowel-shaped projections 3 is formed on the first plate-shaped member 1 with using the drawing stage of a press. A through hole is formed on the second plate-shaped member 2 so that it is completely fit to the projection part at the time of overlapping the both and also the outer edge part 5 of the rise of the dowel-shaped projection 3 comes in contact with the edge 6 of the through hole 4. The plate-shaped member 1 having dowel-shaped projections 3 and the plate-shaped member 2 having the through hole 4 are overlapped and supported by the supporting member 7 having a pedestral projection part 8 from the reverse side to the projecting direction of the projection 3. The projection 3 is then crushed with moving a member 9 by the press of hydraulic pressure, etc. and the first member 1 and the second member 2 are completely joined. |
