PURPOSE:To prevent stains of a carrier due to external cleaning additives and deterioration due to deposition by incorporating the reaction product between a triazine compd., such as melamine, and aldehyde to form a dry toner. CONSTITUTION:The reaction product between a triazine compd. and formaldehyde is externally added to fine particles obtained by dispersing a colored dye or pigment into a binder resin to form a dry toner. As the triazine, benzoguamine is preferable and it reacts with formaldehyde to form a 3- dimensionally bridged polymer. It is preferred that the reaction product between the triazine compd. and formaldehyde has spherical particles having a diameter of about 2-30mum, and as the binder resin of the toner, natural and synthetic resins, rubbers, and waxes exhibiting adhesiveness when subjected to heat or pressure, are usable. |
