PURPOSE:To improve easy drive property in auto cruise by providing on the speed change stage one stage upper than the present one a means for judging beforehand whether or not a drive force is sufficient in shift change. CONSTITUTION:CPU11 in a control section 10 of an electronic governor judges from the output of an auto cruise setter 20 whether or not it is in the auto cruise. If in the auto cruise, the rotational speed ne of an engine and vehicle speed V in that time point are read out of the outputs of sensors 21, 22. And on the basis of the detecting signal of a speed change stage detector are read out data of the present gear ratio and gear ratio of stage one stage upper than the present one, while CPU receives the signal of rotational speed ne of the engine from the sensor 21 for calculation. Thus, a monitor is constituted by using a neu calculating circuit generating the signal of the rotational speed neu of the engine when the stage is shifted up by one stage and a Tmax calculating circuit generating the signal of the maximum engine torque Tmax in the rotational speed neu. |
