PURPOSE:To cause elevation of the position of a disc during full opening, by increasing the size of the bonnet of a gate valve. CONSTITUTION:A disc 2 is so structured as to be fully opened relating from raising of a guide 6 of the disc 2 along a body guide 5, and in this structure, a bonnet 4 is increased in size, and the internal surface of the bonnet 4 into which the disc 2 enters is increased in volume. This constitution enables the disc 2 to be elevated to a level higher than that of a piping flow passage, and especially, the position of the disc during full opening can be elevated 1/3 or more of a diameter D of a main pipe from the upper end of the piping flow passage. |
