PURPOSE:To speed up the attenuation velocity of electric charge, getting the good nonglaring effect, and moreover, reducing the electrification amount, by providing an antistatic membrane on the most outside layer of SiO2 membrane, fired after coating by spraying with alcohol solution consisting of Si(OR)4. CONSTITUTION:The outside surface of a front panel of Braun tube is coated by spraying with alcohol solution consisting of Si(OR)4, and is fired to form a reflection preventing coat made of SiO2, as well as, an antistatic membrance containing silanol group is formed as the most outside surface layer. This silanol group easily adsorbs water content by hydrogen bond, and enabling it to reduce the electric resistance of a glass surface less than specified value, and it performs as the antistatic membrane. Thus, the nonglaring effect of Braun tube is improved, as well as, the attenuation of electric charge is speeded up. |
