PURPOSE:To obtain a superior color image, especially, prevented from yellow stains and good in storage life by incorporating a specified UV absorbing polymer latex in a silver halide color photographic sensitive material and executing stabilization processing without a rinse step after fixing processing. CONSTITUTION:The photographic sensitive material capable of forming a supe rior image in a small consumption of water and resources after imagewise exposure, development, and fixing by processing it with a chelating agent with out a rinse step can be obtained by incorporating, preferably, in a protective layer a (co)polymer of a monomer represented by formula I in which R1 is H, methyl, or CN; R2 is H, 1-4C alkyl, or Cl; X is CONH, COO, or phenylene; A is 1-12C alkylene or 6-20C arylene; Y is COO, SO2NH, O, or the like; m, n are each 0 or 1; Q is one of UV absorbing groups represented by formulae II-IV; R3, R4 are each H, 1-20C alkyl or 6-20C aryl, or both may combine to form a cyclic amino group; R5, R6 are each CN, COOR7, COR7, SOR7 or the like, or both may combine to form a ring; R7 is 1-20C alkyl or the like; and one or more of R3-R7 combine with through the bonding group of X or the like with a vinyl group. |
