PURPOSE:To prevent possible damage due to peeling between belt layers by arranging a rubber spacer, which is composed of a composition of rubber with short fibers that have the stated dimension and are mixed with the stated ratio, between adjacently plied belt layers embedded between a carcass ply and a treat, at their both sides. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic tire 1 includes a carcass ply 5 which is composed of a rubber coated layer where numbers of cords are arranged in parallel, a belt 6 which is located on the outer circumference of the carcass ply and is composed of steel cords, and a tread 7 which is located on the outer circumference of the belt. In this case, a belt cord in a belt layer out of numbers of belt layers which compose the belt 6, intersects with a belt cord in the adjacent belt layer with the angle of smaller than 60 deg. across the equator surface of a tire. In addition, a rubber spacer 8 with a cross-section of an approximate triangle form, is arranged between adjacently plied belt layers at their both sides. This rubber spacer 8 is made of a composition of rubber with short fibers of more than 5pts.wt. Here, the short fibers have an average diameter of smaller than 1mum, and a ration L/D of more than 8 where L represents an average length of the short fibers while D represents their average diameter. |
