PURPOSE:To attain mutual communication of all types of data communication devices by providing a communication data reception means, a conversion rule input means, a picture data input replacing means, a picture data storage means, a picture data output replacing means and a communication data transmission means. CONSTITUTION:Data transmitted from the 1st data communication device 20 is received at first by a communication data reception means 1, and the reception is continued based on a control signal set by the conversion rule input means 6. The received picture signal is converted into an internal signal by the picture data input replacing means 2, given to the picture data storage means 3, where it is stored, and when the conrol signal for the end of data transmission is received by the communication data reception means 1, an internal signal is converted into a picture signal in the 2nd data communication device 25 by the picture data output replacing means 4 in which the conversion rules of the 2nd data com- munication device 25 is set by the conversion rule input means 6. Then the transmission is executed by the control signal set by the conversion rule input means 6 from the communication data transmission signal 5. When the internal singal processing is finished, the control signal for the end of data transmission is transmitted and all operations are finished.
