Method of growing mushrooms - involves seeding pasteurised substrate with stores and pressing it in tubular container with side openings opened for growth when incubated

The method is intended for growing mushrooms, partic. mushrooms with a preference for a cellulose-containing substrate. The substrate is mixed with mushroom spores and pressed into a tubular container (1) provided with openings (4). The spores are allowed to incubate (under controlled conditions of temp., humidity and acidity) until growth commences via the openings. - The substrate is pref. pasteurised before mixing in the spores and may contain sawdust, ground tree bark and/or wood shavings. During the incubation period, the openings are pref. closed, e.g. by adhesive tape.
