Method for rolling strips made of metallic materials

The method is suitable for the economical production of strips made of metallic materials. Operating directly in line downstream of a continuously operating horizontal casting plant and a surface milling station for the cast preliminary strip brings with it considerable savings on transport, investment and energy costs. The combination of static and rolling cross-sectional reduction of the wall thickness of the directly cast preliminary strip makes possible finishing of the strip in a very small space.
