PURPOSE:To spread each effective signal on the entire width of an effective screen so as to display it by deflecting the timing and pulse width of the sam pling pulse of a signal during a horizontal period in accordance with the time width of the effective signal included during the horizontal scan period. CONSTITUTION:When the output of a personal computer 44, that is, signals R, G and B, is selected, signal switching circuits 46-48 are switched to the state reverse to that as shown in the figure by a switching circuit 45. A sampline pulse generator circuit 49 is driven by the reference clock of a higher frequency than that of a reference clock 6 fsc at the time of a television signal, and generates 1,080 sampling pulses in the effective signal in the timing that they are matched to the effective signal in a personal computer signal, their sampling start and sampling termination are delayed and advanced compapred with a sampling pulse at the time of selecting a television signal as a shown by R'11, G'11, ...B'n2. Then said pulses are impressed to sample hold circuits 31-1-31-n. In such a way, the timing and the pulse width are changed, whereby a display screen in the personal computer is spread in the horizontal direction.
