Additional trickling cooling system for dispensing columns, which causes cooled water to trickle over the dispensing column from outside. To this end, a container filled with water is installed in a compartment of the counter, from which container a tube is guided upwards through the dispensing column, which has a ball with a passage aperture at its upper end. The tube is connected in the water container to a circulation pump which is driven by an electric motor and pumps water up out of the container through the tube into the tapping column, where it is distributed via the ball which has been provided, runs down all sides of the tapping column (trickling), cools the latter from outside and is then collected by a bowl on the tapping column and guided back in a circuit through a hole in the bowl into the water container. The quality of the air in the room is improved by the cooled water as a side effect.
