The belt (1) is borne by roller chains (2) which are fastened on the side cheeks (3) of the piece-goods conveyor. The latter is borne by supports (4) and has a motor (5) for driving deflecting rollers (6) which are arranged on the ends of the piece-goods conveyor and about which the belts (1) are guided. The latter are round belts which are guided between the webs of the roller chains (2). The deflecting rollers (6), which are driven by the motor (5) and are mounted on both side cheeks (3), are connected to one another via a shaft. <IMAGE>
