PURPOSE:To reduce the binding time of an operator, by making a print key acceptable when no fault, such as out of paper, etc., occurs while a copying machine is in preparatory operations for copying and starting copying operations at the moment when the preparatory operations are completed. CONSTITUTION:When a power source switch is turned on, a CPU 7 confirms the presence/absence of copying paper and toner by checking the data of a paper sensor 9 and toner sensor 10 and turns on a green LED in a display device 2. When a print key 1 is depressed, the depression of the print key 7 is stored by storing '1' in an RAM 6 and, simultaneously, the depression is indicated by turning on a yellow LED. Then the data of an AD converter are read and it is confirmed that the temperature of fixing heat roller becomes a set temperature. Thus preparatory works for copying operations are completed. If the print key 1 is depressed during warming-up operations, the yellow LED of the display device is turned off and a red LED indicating the invalidity of the depression of the print key 1 is turned on, and then, copying operations are started. |
